I was born and raised in SoCal, I have traveled all over the world and I still love it here! I grew up going to the beach all of the time, spending hours playing in the surf, boogie boarding, building sand castles, dancing around the bonfire, and taking long walks as the sun sets. And now, I am even more lucky because my job takes me to Laguna beach all of the time! I have helped numerous clients plan their day from which cove to choose to getting permits to places to eat afterwards!! I just love it here!

The sunset beach of Laguna year round. This gorgeous northwest facing beach has a beautiful view of the sunset all year long! It is also one of the less crowded coves which makes for a great photo location!

So you are ready to get married at Laguna Beach...Now what?

Let's plan
your day!

I don't even know where to begin. Larissa is as kind, warm, professional and talented as a person gets. Larissa came as highly recommended and after previewing Larissa's work, I knew I wanted her to be apart of my big day. With that said, I had no doubt the wedding photos would be incredible but what I didn't expect was what an integral part Larissa played in making our day magical. It felt like I had one of my best friends by my side who also happened to be holding a camera. She made it so fun for my husband and I (and that's saying something because neither of us like having our picture taken) and the rest of our wedding guests. I also have to mention, I was incredibly impressed at how well Larissa kept everything organized with our group photos. (I had mentioned to her in advance it might be like herding cats with our group but she kept us all in line. She is very good at giving directions but in a way that is kind and well received.)

When we look back at our wedding, my husband and I both say our time taking photos with Larissa was without a doubt the highlight of our day. It was nonstop laughter and fun and absolutely magical.

Oh... and we just got our pictures back. My jaw dropped to the floor. They are incredible. Beyond anything I could have imagined....

My spouse and I held our wedding ceremony/reception this past October at the Historic Cottage of San Clemente. Next to food, photography was easily the most important part we wanted to invest in, and Larissa made every dollar worth it. After comparing and contacting several photographers in the area, she was introduced to us via a referral and we were immediately impressed by her knowledge and confidence. She made notes about specific moments we wanted to capture, and worked with us on a day-of timeline to help keep things on track. She showed up early to the venue to get a feel for the setting, and immediately went to work organizing people for shots and capturing the day. Family photos in particular have been accurately described as “herding cats”, and she handled this with patience and professionalism, even taking last minute requests. Larissa’s style and art, especially when it came to capturing natural landscapes, is exactly what we were hoping for. Our sunset/golden hour photos look otherworldly. Larissa worked so hard to capture the day beautifully. The more I look at the photos and marvel at the variety and angles (all while maintaining quality), the more convinced I am that she must have some sort of superhuman speed! Many of our guests commented on how well organized the wedding was and Larissa was a huge factor in that. One of her suggestions, a bride and groom “table run” during the reception, allowed us to capture all of our hundred plus guests in the span of one song. And it was just a joy to be around her! She even got in on many of the group and line dancing, dancing herself and taking photos simultaneously. It is clear how much she loves her work and we were so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with her. We will absolutely consider her in the future for other photo events!

"Our sunset/golden hour photos look otherworldly"

Larissa is above and beyond everything we could have dreamed of for a photographer. I knew the moment I saw her photos and met her that she was the right photographer for me & my fiance. We started with our engagement shoot in San Juan Capistrano Northwest Open Space. It was a location Larissa had never photographed before, and she was eager and enthusiastic to explore the area and photograph in as many areas as possible! The photos turned out absolutely beautiful, more exceptional that I can even explain. In the year between our engagement photos & wedding, we received countless compliments on our engagement photos. We used them for our invites, wedding website, and it all looked so beautiful and professional.
At the wedding, and while getting ready, Larissa not only photographed, but also helped us manage time and stay on schedule. She gave such good advice for the day of the wedding, and helped us plan our whole timeline during our final meeting a couple weeks before the wedding. The wedding day went so smoothly with her there!
Over the 2 years of our engagement we became great friends with Larissa. She came to my bridal shower, and at an event a couple weeks before the wedding she found out that on our honeymoon we'd also be in the Santa Cruz area the same weekend as her (she was up there for a wedding) and she offered to do a post-wedding shoot with us in the Henry Cowell Redwoods forest! She was super flexible about meeting at a time that worked best for us, and when we got sunburnt and had to find cover-up and were running late, she was totally understanding and had some fun photographing the scenery until we got there! She knew the forest so well, and had such beautiful suggestions. The photos are incredible, and it's a day we'll never forget!
She goes through the photos and edits several of them so quickly - giving us exciting sneak peeks! It's so much fun seeing snippets of them along the way, and she gives you so many photos to choose from, it's amazing!
Larissa is exceptionally passionate about photography, and this shows in everything she did for us. Our guests still comment on how excellent our photographer was, and we are so thankful to Larissa for making us feel so relaxed on the big day, which really shows in our photos. Larissa's attention to detail shows in the final result. We look forward to having her as our photographer for all special events, family photos, anniversary photos - everything in the future! She'll be the photographer for my friend's wedding this November, and I'll continue recommending her to everyone!
